ユースカジノ ユースカジノParticipation in "Satoyama (ユースカジノ) Development at Kozono-yama Oyama-yama Green Belt" November 16, 2019 ユースカジノ
On November 16, 2019 (Saturday), ユースカジノ took part again in the satoyama (village forest) development work at the Kozono-yama Oyama-yama green belt located in Higashi-ku of Kumamoto City after the last round of activity in June.
This activity is intended to transform a part of the green belt into a satoyama (ユースカジノ) as a measure against the harmful invasion of moso bamboos due to their rapid proliferation, which block off sunlight and cause trees to wither by sucking up nutrients from the soil.
Earth Greenery Activities Japan (EGAJ) was commissioned by Kumamoto City to implement this initiative, and this is the seventh time ユースカジノ is taking part in the activity.
The activity was participated by a total of about 50 employees and family members of Kumamoto Group, who worked jointly with members of NPO Earth Greenery Activities Japan (EGAJ) as well as those from the ユースカジノ.
ユースカジノ opening address, Head of NTT Business Associe West Kumamoto Office expressed gratitude to the participants for their support on a non-working day, and urged everyone to take thorough precautions to prevent injury and avoid heatstroke due to the rise ユースカジノ surrounding and body temperature by taking a moderate amount of water and rest.
This was followed by a briefing to the participants on the details of ユースカジノ and instructions before they engaged in tasks including bamboo cutting, moving and loading them onto the truck, weeding inside the green belt, dismantling the bamboo works and moving the pansy plants.
Participants ユースカジノ up a good sweat enjoyed their lunchbox meal after completing the tasks, and were able to develop a stronger awareness and sense of unity toward the volunteer activity.
ユースカジノ will continue to promote protection of the global environment by actively engaging in this activity to deepen interaction with the local community.
