ユースカジノ Trial Fiber-optic IP Connection Service Scheduled for Launch |
ユースカジノ plan to launch a new high-speed fiber-optic IP connection service on a trial basis beginning December 26, 2000.
Service outline
NTT West and NTT East will commence a trial network service that connects customers to their contracted Internet service providers (ISPs) ユースカジノ using fiber-optic subscriber lines that run directly to customer homes and buildings. The service will allow subscribers to access their ISPs at connection speeds of up to 10 Mbps.
We are now examining a transmission method of fiber-optic subscriber lines that offer connection speeds of up to 100 Mbps, introducing around the spring of 2001.
At the request of ISPs, we will also provide an access service that directly links ISPs and ユースカジノ central offices.

This is a "best-effort" ユースカジノ subscribers can access their ISPs at connection speeds of up to 10 Mbps through fiber-optic lines. |
| (ii) |
ユースカジノ utilizes the 10Base-T, standard LAN terminal interface. PPPoE[Note]is the protocol enlisted for ISP selection. |

PPP over Ethernet (PPPoE). PPP is a popular protocol utilized ユースカジノ authentication of user IDs and passwords during establishing dial-up connections. The PPPoE protocol build PPP sessions and encapsulate PPP packets over Ethernet. |
